Baltimore City Drug Court Employment Enhancement Projects - Juvenile Program
NPC is providing evaluation services for two Baltimore City drug court program enhancement programs, one for juveniles and the other for adults. These two employment augmentation programs are designed to directly impact three important challenges faced by drug court participants: program retention, post-program transition, and successful entry into the Baltimore City and Maryland job markets.
NPC Research will use a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies to monitor the implementation of the service enhancement and track performance indicators.
Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake will provide the arts experience, job readiness, and career exploration and support services (including case management) to youth referred from drug treatment court. NPC Research will conduct key informant interviews, consult with staff on the proper documentation of project design and activities, and collect and analyze performance indicators. NPC Research will also will collaborate with project staff to identify future benchmarks and aspects that require improvement through the proposed interviews, which will enhance the long-term planning required to ensure sustainability, and document all implementation stages so that juvenile drug courts will be able to replicate the program. NPC Research will be responsible for reporting project implementation and research findings.
