Juliette Mackin, Senior Research Associate at NPC Research, has worked in the areas of juvenile crime prevention, juvenile and adult drug courts, adolescent and adult substance use/abuse, strengths-based approaches to service delivery, child abuse and neglect prevention and treatment, early childhood behavioral health, and human services coordination. Dr. Mackin has conducted process evaluations and longitudinal outcome studies, using both quantitative and qualitative research methods. She helped develop, validate, and implement an assessment tool used statewide in Oregon, by juvenile justice departments, schools, and community-based service providers, to identify youth throughout the community who are at risk of initial or continued juvenile justice involvement. She has created and tested a strength-based assessment tool and process and trained staff in juvenile justice and social service agencies in Oregon, Montana, New Mexico, New York, and Alaska. She also has experience providing technical assistance and training to community-based, governmental, and tribal organizations.

Dr. Mackin earned her Doctorate at Michigan State University, in Ecological/Community Psychology and Urban Studies.
