Jerod Tarte, Research Associate at NPC Research, has been involved in program evaluation and related research since 1998. His experience includes project coordination, data management, and statistical analysis for evaluations of programs related to early childhood prevention and intervention, as well as juvenile crime prevention.
Mr. Tarte has served as project coordinator and data analyst for many local evaluations of programs serving at-risk youth and children. For the past several years he has been primarily involved in the evaluation of Oregon’s Healthy Start and Juvenile Crime Prevention programs. In addition to numerous technical reports, Mr. Tarte has recently published a series of articles on strengths-based assessment use in both juvenile justice and early childhood settings.
In 2006 Mr. Tarte served as president of Oregon Program Evaluators Network, a professional affiliate of the American Evaluation Association. Prior to joining NPC Research, he served as a research assistant at California State University at Fresno while obtaining his Master of Arts in Psychology. Mr. Tarte has also taught undergraduate psychology courses at both CSU Fresno and Portland State University (where he completed additional graduate level coursework in research and evaluation).
