Judy Weller, a Researcher at NPC Research, is currently working in the areas of drug courts (particularly assessment, technical assistance and process evaluations), alcohol & drug treatment, early literacy, and the right to counsel in civil cases. Previous projects were in strength-based assessment of youth in the juvenile justice system; alcohol, drug, and violence prevention; coordination of prevention programs; juvenile and adult drug courts, youth suicide prevention, integration of social services in the State of Oregon; and domestic violence. Her duties as researcher include assessment and technical assistance, database development and management, supervision of data collection and data entry, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and report writing. She also reviews research literature, facilitates focus groups, and provides trainings and presentations.
Judy received her Bachelor of Science in psychology from Portland State University in 1996. Her research background prior to NPC Research includes several studies in the area of early childhood development, as well as research in the college-level writing process.
